SUPPORT FUNCTIONS - HR
Main Goal
This position will help guide and administer the elements of Human Resources focusing on services, policies and programs for Vilmorin-Mikado Japan.
Job description
- Administer the policies, programs and practices that meet the needs of Vilmorin-Mikado Japan, and that comply with Japanese labor law,
- Report on a regular basis to Vilmorin SA and Limagrain – Headcount, HR database and annual CSR reports,
- Identify, classify, maintain and protect files, documentation and sensitive information consistent with data protection, data handling and retention requirements,
- Serve as first point of contact to employees and managers for questions and issues related to Compensation, Benefits, and Leaves of Absence,
- Be the coordinator between Labor and Social Security Attorney and internally employees working on payroll,
- Maintain a good relationship with labor union by continuous discussion related to labor issues,
- Handle employees relations and investigations from start to finish, ensuring employee privacy where appropriate, including confidentiality and protection of sensitive information or reports,
- Respond to questions and requests by any governmental agencies, and represent the company at hearings and support the administration and reporting in these areas.
Profile
The successful candidate :
- Have HR experience or be able and will to learn any deficient areas quickly,
- Possess effective professional written and verbal communication skills,
- Demonstrate a team-oriented "can-do" attitude with a customer-focused approach working with a team of managers under the direction of General Manager of HR and Manager of HR,
- Must be willing and able to balance a multi-faceted workload, track status and progress of work (employees relations issues, coaching, recruitments, training, onboarding, worker’s compensation cases, visas, mobility and separations),
- Be able to communicate in a timely, effective, and professional manner with all stakeholders.
This role will act as a key advisor and subject matter expert on the areas of HR, advising and counseling management and ensuring timely resolution of complex employee relations, mobility, visa obstacles and issues in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment.
