The LVS R&D division manages a large portfolio of projects, with complex resource allocation, management and strategy alignment. In order to define, follow & implement correctly the division R&D strategy, the use of Business Intelligence tools (BI) to analyze & optimize the data has become a prerequisite.

In this context, the BI expert will be responsible for building reports, dashboards and metrics to provide insightful data to business users.
He/she will collect the request and will carry out the necessary tests to ensure the proper functioning of the tool.
Lastly, he/she will ensure the knowledge transfer by training the end users and will provide them with innovative data-based solutions to business and optimization issues.

The scope of the position includes all areas covered by the LVS R&D department, with a primary focus on the project management & budget team.

For all areas of the LVS R&D team, you will deliver reports and metrics for which you will be responsible for maintenance and knowledge transfer.
In frame of this mission your key missions will be:

1/ Manage the reporting needs:

- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements.
- Collect reporting requirements.
- Understand the data models and the data warehouse to support reporting and analysis, in interaction with the Limagrain BI Department
- Create and maintain dashboards, reports and metrics.
- Organize user tests (UAT) and validate the fulfillment of the need.
- Write functional and technical documentation for the reports.
- Make the necessary corrections to ensure the reliability of these reports.

2/ Animation and training of the Key Users network:

- Build and maintain training materials.
- Provide training and support to end-users on how to effectively use the BI solutions.
- Inform the users community about the latest news: availability of new reports, features ...

Both missions imply:
- Analyze complex data sets and provide meaningful insights to stakeholders.
- Propose innovative ideas (visualizations, analysis, KPI, ...) based on available data.
- Have a good understanding of the R&D needs
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in BI and data analysis

REQUIRED DEGREES

Master's degree: Specialization in the field of business intelligence, data analysis and/or Computer Science

Expertise
- Written & oral English mandatory (level 3: operational)
- 3 years experiences in data warehousing, data modeling and a BI tool (ideally Microstrategy)
- Good knowledge of databases/data warehouses
- Knowledge of the seed industry appreciated
- Plant science background a plus
