POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: In alignment with HM.CLAUSE' s Mid Term plan for LVS Seed production in India with the Regional Production Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of our Asia production together with Global production in the country.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following: • Manage the production Tools in the country, support, assessment, etc. • Develop and lead technical training sessions for local team. • Supervise production responsibilities of India & Asia development activities • Develop and implement a global production strategy with the LVS suppliers • Supervise and help to drive the production plan according to the quantity and quality requirements, cost, and deadlines established by the suppliers • Establish and achieve OPEX and Capex to drive the business • Spearhead strategic business partner relationships with third parties and drive internal production capacity and grower network development through an optimized mid-term capacity allocation strategy. • In addition to is main responsibilities include the following: o Research and develop potential new areas for seed production for assigned species. Supervisory Responsibilities • Manage direct production team (Network area managers, HF managers, and IP related manager) Education & work experience required: • BSc / MSc in Agriculture or related field • Minimum 5 years of experience in vegetable seed production. • Previous experience with global seed production desired • Leadership experience with effective interpersonal communication and management skills is essential • Experience in budget management • Ability to travel at least 25% of time to domestic and international locations. • Identify and collect customer needs; prospect and analyze customer sales potential in order to expand and maintain the company customer data base • Describe market needs; maintain and update a market intelligence database for the area (including market review, seed technology watch, etc.) and anticipate market trends in autonomy. • Design the local trial plan, including sample needs and standard/check varieties. Set up single trials. Evaluate single trials. Write single trials synthesis and reports and submit a trial plan synthesis/report to the Sales Manager. Propose the varieties advancement/stop/retry to the Sales Manager. Identify at early stage the sales potential of new varieties. • Support Breeder trial set up in your area • During pre-commercial & product launch phases: bring product knowledge of new varieties & contribute to design sales arguments and communication tools. Propose & implement promotion actions of precommercial varieties, the launch of new commercial varieties and punctual sales actions in the defined area. • Provide adapted technical advice to the customers (direct & indirect). • Design sales forecast for each variety in the dedicated tool and follow up forecast completion (take corrective actions & propose forecast changes when required) • Apply the price & sales policy. • Propose and negotiate Customer specific sales actions validated by the management in order to reach the sales revenue target • Control that direct & indirect customers confirmed their orders to the Customer Service (eventually directly take the order from the customer). • Follow up the sales target completion & propose corrective actions when applicable. • Write and submit sales reports to the Sales Manager. • Propose account payment conditions review; for past due, realize money collection actions jointly with the Credit Management team. • Provide technical expertise at customer level & manage the settlement of claims & complaints jointly under the supervision of his manager.
