Product Development:

Marketing:
o   Compile market information.

o   Sponsor and attend trade shows.
o   Participate in NPI meeting (New Product Introduction) when requested.
o   Visits with Product Managers.
o   Participate in CEA industries meetings (Control Environment Agriculture) and shares communication and knowledge with stakeholders.
o   Communication with the marketing department, making proposals for product communication and advertisement: brochures, branding, packaging, etc.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Qualifications
·       BS in Agronomical Engineering or related field;
·       Proficiency in the English language.
·       Knowledge and understanding of the seed industry preferred
·       At least 3-5 years of experience in Sales Management in the seed industry.
·       Goal oriented; self-motivated; analytical thinker; ability to motivate others.
·       Advance Computer skills (MS Office Suite, Internet, Email)
·       Valid driver’s license and clear driving record
·       Able to travel extensively (nationally and internationally).&lt;br /&gt;

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Sales Management
Planning and implementation of sales strategies to gain market share and increase LCS profitability in the region

Work with the Product Development Team to position Foundation seed of all varieties in the LCS portfolio

Understand the principals of wheat breeding and agronomy at a high level, enabling them to work with our research team to develop and select products.
Study wheat trials with Research team each year to maintain a current and functional knowledge of all products in the marketplace and all advanced experimental LCS material progressing towards commercialization
Work with National Sales Manager to maintain a comprehensive regional intelligence platform capable of delivering product targets to the Research team
Budget Management
Responsible for managing the following P&amp;L statement components to achieve annual revenue targets and maintain positive bottom line growth:
Maximizing sales volumes
Maximizing royalty levels
Minimizing cost of goods
Optimizing commercial operating expenses
Assisting with the optimization of research expenditures

As a member of Limagrain's global cereals and pulses management team, your main domains and missions will be:
Research and Development Strategy:
- Animate the North American research management team to facilitate development of innovative breeding strategies by utilizing company technology and germplasm;
- Define the short, medium and long-term breeding and portfolio objectives with commercial managers;
- Develop an understanding of the business, interacting with relevant internal stakeholders;
- Propose collaborations and exchanges with third parties in compliance with company policy
- Ensure compliance with Limagrain germplasm FTO requirements in conjunction with global germplasm management systems.

Operations:
- Evolve, develop and implement breeding strategy through the different breeding programs in North America
- Drive the optimal use of efficient breeding innovations (statistical designs, molecular technology etc)
- Ensure variety maintenance and breeder’s seed production of cereal and pulse varieties
- Coordinate the registration of cereal and pulse varieties in the Business Area

- Propose and manage North America cereals and pulses budget, resources of the research team and (MTP) mid-term plan, ensuring budget compliance and efficient resource allocation for projects and programs.

- Track and review the financial performance and expenses of the research team and recommend adjustments as necessary.

People Management and Leadership:
- Shape and promote a positive work culture and actively develop the research team in collaboration with the BU and global research human resources teams
- Provide leadership to the breeding teams
- Develop and implement communications plans for Research that inspires employees and connects them to the values and ambition of the organization
- Develop close relationships with breeders, platform managers and research managers in other territories in the cereals and pulses community

- A deep knowledge of how agriculture-for-development proceeds and the requirements of stakeholders
